Railway Children Weekend
18th July 2009 - 19th July 2009

This weekend, the Crewe Heritage Centre supports our favourite charity with 75% of our proceeds being donated to the Charity.

6201 "Princess Elizabeth" will be in steam and there will be other visiting locomotives along with many other exhibits including trade stands and charity stalls.

The American Railway Exhibition and Miniature Railway will be operational on both days.  Light refreshments will be available in the Crewe North Signal Box along with other catering facilities on site.

For those visiting the Centre, please note there is a FREE bus service operating on both days from Crewe Railway Station using the Centre's resident London Routemaster buses.

This event is expected to be well supported so visitors, who are arriving by car, are advised to park in one of the local public car parks.  There will be very limited parking at the Centre.

The Railway Children Charity works for the runaway and abandoned children who live in or around the world's railway stations.

They provide the shelter, food, clothing, education and healthcare that are all essential to a child's wellbeing. That's an incredibly important part of their work but it's not the thing that makes them unique. Their goal is to intervene with a child at the earliest opportunity before an abuser does.
