Visitors to The Crewe Heritage Centre have the unique opportunity of viewing the Centre's own locomotives and also viewing those locomotives passing through Crewe on Mainline Charter.

LNER Class A1 60163 Tornado In 1990 a group of people came together to share an extraordinary ambition - to construct a brand new Peppercorn A1 Pacific .... This week, LNER Class A1 60163 Tornado will visit the Crewe Heritage Centre. Tornado will arrive by road on Friday 9th April and will be at the Heritage Centre until Wednesday April 14th 2010, when Tornado will work a tour out of Crewe. Tornado will be available for public viewing this coming weekend, Saturday April 10th and Sunday April 11th. There will be a trade stand in the Exhibition Hall. Entrance to the Centre will be Adults £5, Children £2, Seniors £3 & Family £10. On Monday 12th April the Centre will be open from 4pm for people to come and see the locomotive and at 7pm there will be a audio visual presentation (approx 90 minutes duration) by the A1 Locomotive Trust about the building of the locomotive. The Heritage Centre will also be hosting an evening on Tuesday 13th April 2010, when LNER Class A1 60163 Tornado will be in steam. The admission price on Monday and Tuesday will be Adults £3, Seniors £2 & Family £5. Tea/Coffee will be available on Tuesday evening during open period.
