Visitors to Crewe Heritage Centre have the
unique opportunity of viewing exhibits from the history of
Crewe.
Rail Exhibits
Our most prominent
exhibit at Crewe Heritage Centre is the Advanced Passenger
Train, the first train in the world that was able to tilt
around bends in the track to allow it to travel faster.
Other rail
exhibits include a Class 03 diesel shunter, a Class 47 diesel
locomotive, Class 73 diesel electric locomotive and a Class 37
diesel locomotive which is currently under restoration.

Road Exhibits
Buses, both vintage and classic, are regular visitors to Crewe
Heritage Centre along with classic cars, motorcycles, ice
cream vans and more. In
particular, in conjunction with Bentley, Crewe Heritage Centre
is proud to exhibit the prototype of the Bentley Continental
GT in the main exhibition hall.

Signal Boxes
We
have three signal boxes to explore at Crewe Heritage Centre!
Crewe Station A Cabin which is a non-functional example of a
signal cabin that used to control part of Crewe station.
Exeter West is a preserved, fully functional signal box from
Exeter and finally Crewe North Junction 'box is a more modern
electronic power signalbox which used to control the North end
of Crewe Station!

Miniature and
Model
The
centre hosts a 600 yard miniature railway taking you the whole
length of the site, your admission covers one free return
trip.
Crewe Heritage Centre is home to the National Model Railroad
Association's Calder Northern Division, featuring three 'HO'
and 'N' gauge model layouts.
